1971 Honda CL350
« on: October 07, 2016, 05:39:49 PM »
Tank has minor leak, the tank is full so the leak has stopped, it seems to be at the seam of the tank. The rust must have stopped the leak. The bike does not start, doesn't have a battery, has good compression.

I need help making a decision on what direction to go with this bike, I don't like the CL line and don't want to keep it. Do I part this out, list it as is, fix it and list it?

please chime in.

That bike is way too nice to part out.  If you dont like it, just sell it and buy a 750!

How much do you need for it and where in MI are you?

If you have a clear title, someone will jump on it as-is, handlebars and damage accepted, and it's out of your hair. With a title you could shoot for maybe $500 I think........
CL350 is a highly desired cafe platform, people are looking for them. If it has good exhaust, that's a major plus.
To fix it up would cost an undetermined amount of time and money, parts can be hard to find.
Parting it out would yield some cash, but you have to take it apart, find buyers, shipping, etc. - and you'd still be stuck with a bunch of stuff nobody wants in boxes anyway.

There are actually parts on that bike I'd like to have, but I'll agree with the others. Too nice and too complete. Sell it whole to someone that'll repair and restore it.
