I have it.  Wouldn't use it on a nice stock bike that I wanted to keep original.     It's flexible vinyl with some adhesive in the crack, and  some shiny mylar, all with a clear vinyl coating.

I used it on a cb550 I had with good results but my 550 wasn't 100% original to begin with.

I purchased the gas tank trim for my '74 CB750 from this same seller. Looks awesome and can't wait to fit it. I know, not the same trim as a 500/550 tank but better than no trim at all and until someone reproduces the original trim, this appears to be the way to go.
