Help me Identify Float Needle Valves CB750
« on: October 09, 2016, 01:56:36 PM »
Hi,

I have 2 sets of float needle valves for my cb750 K5 that came from the original owner.  I am trying to figure out which ones are most likely the original ones.  I have included some pictures below, as you can see one of them has a "darker" almost brass looking valve and the other is smaller and rounded and silver.  The "darker" brass looking one is slightly longer and sets my float height quite different than the the smaller one.  Is there any way to tell which might be the original float needles and which are perhaps "keyster" or some other off brand carb rebuild kit?  Thanks!

-Andy

My guess is the more silver colored one on the left in the first pic as the stocker. Looks more familiar but don't take that to the bank though. Did you compare them to the other two in the carb bank to see which style may be dominant ?

Unfortunately they came in a bag together, neither were in the carbs as I am building them up now.  Im also leaning towards the silver one as they seem like have seen more use - I am basically trying to backtrack what components are Keihein / original so I can get rid of or at least sequester the cheaper carb rebuild parts that he mixed and matched in these carbs :|

Thanks!
