Contact Breaker screws
« on: October 15, 2016, 06:51:51 AM »
Hey,

so the screws holding the contact/circuit breaker to the engine body are completely destroyed, i've got no idea how to get them out and i want to avoid damaging the threading on the engine itself! any tips on how to get these screws out without doing irreparable damage to the engine?

Cheers

I've had good luck with the cheap "speed out" (seen on tv) screw removers.  I just use the biggest remover the head will accept after using the boring tip.  Does fine on small screws.

Otherwise, a pair of vise-grip pliers should get ya turning.

a small set of slip joint pliers works good, if there is still a head on the screw
