Here's the entire skinny on my last 6 months bike dealings, "all my bidness out in publick".
Old Blue was the PO's favorite even though he let it sit all those years. He really didn't intend to, but a newer bike came along and pretty soon the plate expired as did the battery. The next thing he knew he had built a new house with a big garage and he had lined up all the bikes that needed the carbs cleaned, batteries, got wrecked, bought wrecked, bought cut up, a drunken storage guy attacked some of the 750's with a hammer so he brought those home, and now he's moving to florida. I bought 6 750's and the blue wing from him.
Then I got a K1 from an ad on facebook and 4 750's from my brother. I think I spent $3400 for all 11 together. On top of that I spent a couple thousand on the k1, using the money from the 79 wing and a welder I sold to finance the K1 exhaust and parts.
So after all that I have the Brown K1, white 77 F'nK, a friends old 72K w/836, a pretty nice 75K all there, my brothers one owner flake orange 74K, and #E1002695 sandcast engine, and a stock used exhaust system. Three titled rolling frames and one not rolling, 3 stuck engines.
The garage checkbook is now pretty low and race season is coming. I need to sell a couple items. Not mentioned or for sale are my two keeper K0 bikes. I license and insure two K0's and one wing. That's all I'm planning to keep although the one owner K4 would be hard to sell. And the drag bike and that's all. I think. Oh, 2 the unstamped 70 diecast engines.
