Is that a super trap exhaust tip? How loud is it? Where did you get it? I like it.

Had a couple guys ask about the exhaust.  It's a Kerker header but instead of using the megaphone, I used a "weld on spark arrestor" from this place:

http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/buggy/exh/exhaust%20acc.htm

They're made for off-road vehicles and are required if you're going through national forests.  Keeps from burning down all the trees I guess.  Anyway, this basically does all the baffling that the megaphone would do without the size and weight.  You add or remove disks to tune its flow.  I tuned it so I didn't have to rejet the carbs and it works great.  Louder than stock, about the same noise as an aftermarket megaphone.  Exhaust does come out radially rather than straight through the end, so it'll blow oil all over you if you're burning any.

I also like the Manx seat, but it looks like it could us a small chrome fender yes,no?
You could easily chop down a stock fender, 400's came with rear fenders right???

That is one sweet bike.  Wonder if they would trade for a left nut, straight up?

Really like the looks of the Norton fender, but unfortunately I still have to mount a license plate, brake light and inspection sticker out back.  I'm trying to make it all look clean and integrated.  Version 1 was hacked and bent out of some scrap sheet metal this weekend.  Mounted it up and then thought of a better idea, so I'm working on version 2.0 at the moment.  It's like I'm running my own little Microsoft out of the garage.  I'll post some pictures when I'm done beta testing.

If you're beta testing, you're doing better than Microsoft!  ;D

I like both seats. I might like the old seat better if it did not have those studs all over the sides. They stick out and disrupt the phone lines.

I agree , I have never been a fan of the "studded/rivited" seatpads.
New seat all the way - just hack those rear framerails down...

Got it cleaned up a little this weekend.  Cut down the frame rails a little and made a license plate/tailight holder.  Also made a couple metal pieces to close up some gaps in the back.

I used MDF wood to mount the seat.  Not the most elegant approach, but it works.  I even drilled some "speed holes" in the base.  MotoGP teams may be using this technology next season.

I like the first seat - cafe' all the way.

You can keep things interesting by swithching up the seats every few weeks - just like changing your underwear ;D

Sparty

Sparty, I do recommend you change your underwear more than every few weeks.  You may see some health improvements.   ;D
