Good morning one and all,
Howard here. Screen name OneStepBeyond, an homage to the Madness hit from 1979.
The concept of stepping off the beaten path and not following the crowd has always appealed to me.
When it comes to adventure & knowledge, there I go ... one step beyond.
Currently in the midst of several long distance exploration rides with a few bikes parked around the world.
Waiting for my good friends to be fit enough to ride again. Together on another adventure.

Presently riding and restoring a bunch of 80's and 90's motorcycles.
All brands, but a definite preference for Honda's.
The Japanese seem to understand my miswired brain, or is it vice versa.

As many of you may already have discovered, there is a plethora of knowledge out there in the world.
My ambition is to bring some of it together in one place, and if possible, pass it on.

Looking forward to trolling these tomes of info and adding what I can to the database.
Thanks for reading, thanks for sharing and I hope your ambitions and wishes unfold well.

Sincerely,
Howard

Welcome. Go easy on the vocabulary lest you send many of us to the dictionary to decode your posts  ;) ;D

With your bikes staged in differing regions of the world, is that due to each being more suitable for the regional terrain or simply for convenience and reliability?

I imagine you have an extensive photo journal that many of us would enjoy immensely and share vicariously with you!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
