Has anyone gotten a tank from this guy on ebay? they have a ton of awesome shapes of these tanks but are crazy expensive.

They're not that expensive when you take into account paint and body work on a stock tank. And rust repair, etc.

That's a pretty good price for what it is. Unfortunately the guy has only 54 feedback and is in India. I'm in the US and probably wouldn't chance it but that's just me.

Check out some reviews of Indian made tanks on britbike.com and triumphrat.net. Some people have had excellent results while others didn't.  One thing you will see is don't expect perfection or symmetry in a sub $500 aluminum tank.

definitely don't want to have to mess with it after especially if I'm paying that much, might was well just do it right the first time.

Some of this stuff from India is comng in at 1/2 price of what it would cost in most of the rest of the world. Great if its ready to go, fits and no tweaking..

I got some made in India CB 750 sidecovers recently.  There issme spots need a bit of attentio, and they are a bit ripply.. Probably not cost effective to pay someone to fix them up properly.
