Service manuals
« on: October 30, 2016, 10:34:57 AM »
Good afternoon,

I am looking to get a service manual for my '72 CB750. I have seen several versions available and want to know which is recommended by members of the group. There is the 183-page "green" version sold on the vintagecb750 site which says it has information concerning the K0 and K1 models.

Then there is a reprint version being offered on e-bay which is 282 pages and has supplemental info on later model years.

Which version would I be better served with, or is there something else I am missing?  Is there another source that I should be looking into? I know there are manuals available online but I want to have a print version handy in the shop with me for reference and I don't want to print out the whole manual on my printer. Thanks in advance for any and all help on this subject.

The blue one is what Honda manuals looked like in 1976, it should cover post K0 models pretty well. I do not have either, but other model manuals had wiring diagrams for different model years and would cover most other differences. The green book is an earlier one, probably covering only the early models. Most information would still be good: for the wiring and carbs... not so good.

Thanks Bodi, I kinda figured that was the case. I figured the folks around here would have a better idea about what's what. Trying to only buy once.
