Ordered a set of 14.2" rear Hagons from Dave Quinn - really helpful and knowledgable guy!  I highly recommend him.

I'll let you know when they get here how it all works out.

So I rebuilt the front forks again - I ended up buying some NOS 13.2mm deep seals, as the CycleX seals leaked like a sieve.  I also used the CycleX 2" lower fork tubes, which are really nice.  Lowering the front and changing the rears really made a difference.

While working on the forks, I changed the fork gaiters from the CycleX pieces that fell apart (my bike is garage kept and I'm in a humid environment here in Houston), to fabricated bits I made out of some very durable off-road shock gaiters.

I replaced the rear CycleX shocks with the Hagons.  They are really nice.  The change of the front and rear made turn in a lot quicker.  Transitions are nicer, and the ride is softer, even though it has quicker response.

Overall really happy.  I waited until I had a few miles on the new set up - I've done about 800 miles now.

Here's a couple of shots of some of my latest rides.

My Cycle X gaiters did not last long either, with the bike garaged in California.
