Might have. Don't pay attention just renew the CCW every five years. Makes buying a firearm easy peezy.

I really like the police models loaded chamber indicator and general feel.  I think the other difference is the lanyard loop.

My dad got lucky and picked up the exact same model, but for some reason the lucky bastard got one with the fancy night sights like the ones that come standard on most sigs.  Mine has the crappy watch face type sights (can you tell I don't know much about the different sights  ::))

Pics please.

Of the Mauser?  Here you go.  It just turned 100 this year  8) Doesn't look bad for an old thing

I chose to not do anything but clean it and epoxy a small split in the stock.  All I did was clean as much grime and old oil off the stock as I could with cheesecloth (trying to remember what chemical I used).  Then I let it dry out and went thought a multi application process of 100% Pure Tung Oil.  I'm extremely pleased how the stock came out.  I left all the patina on the metal bits and just cleaned and oiled everything.  The rifling in the barrel is in fantastic shape and the head space checks within range (but on the high side).  All the parts have matching serial numbers but the bolt...and who knows where it came from or when it was replaced.  It's the correct style for the model though.

From what I have read you can get nights on CZ, some models it's an option. I only have two that are without nights. Pretty much a prerequisite for me. It's cheaper to buy with them rather than add them.

The Sig I bought has some of the best, especially the front XRay. Glows bright in daylight.

Yes, more new toys..

Beretta FS92 9mm, Italian manufacture. There is also a USA model but the Italian is the one you want. 15 plus 1 capacity. This one will be getting a steel kit upgrade and walnut grips from Beretta next week when the parts arrive.

Loving the Beretta line my neighbor showed me his 84FS in black. Whoa, that's a beautiful 380! 13 plus 1 didn't hurt either.

I was lucky to find one online out of Texas in Nickel with walnut grips. Done deal, will carry this one also.

And my weakness for Kimbers. Raptor Pro in 9mm, night sights, 8+1.

A wheel gun next week. Can't wait!

I really like that FS92.

Me too! Even better after the upgrades.

The picture of the 84FS doesn't do that pistol any justice. The nickel finish is spectacular.

Christmas is about to end until the next sale.  :'(  I have found some great deals especially the revolver coming today. Waited 5 months for that.

Really want a Sig .45 in nickel finish however pricing is fixed on Sig steel guns. Some models are never reduced in price. This seems to be one of them.

How about the 84FS? My, I love this thing. Beretta is pretty proud of it but found a good deal in Texas.

Cabelas used to have some good sales on ammo and a few of their guns were decently priced in their Memorial Day and 4th of July sales.  It is good ammo for the range, never see the frag rounds on sale used for personal defence.

Too early...not anymore..
Trying think if I know anyone ever got a firearm or ammo for Christmas ...not in the las 30 years I think..
We got a Smith and Wesson 48-7 22 mag in 4 inch this past year! Another ruger 10/22 (for a 12 year old) the year before for a total of 2 of those now! Just saw this post!  I buy my ammo from ammo man in NJ on line! Poor NJ people need a license to buy it. They ship it here tax free and im supposed to sign for it. I never have.. UPS just drops it! :o

Never enough I say! Kind of like motorcycles huh? Bud's has them cheaper than I paid for Memorial Day weekend. Close out on the 2016 model. It is a sweet piece.

Well, I lied. Thought I was done for a while but another sale. Beretta model 81 in .32 caliper. Seems not many gun manufacturers make that caliper anymore but they are fun to shoot.

I have been doing a lot of reading and YT on the 10mm round. Quite impressive. Making a choice on which firearm to buy has been confusing.

Ruger, Kimber or just pull the trigger (pun) and get the Dan Wesson Razorback. With the high forces of the 10 I'm leaning towards the Wesson. Nothing but good things.

While pondering the purchase I ran the Beretta's over to the neighbors.

Front: 92FS.  Installed a steel guide rod, reversed the magazine release for left hand use as well as a few other internals. Walnut grips to dress it up.

Rear: M9-A1-22. Walnut grips only. Very nice firearm and should be a blast to shoot. All parts from Beretta on both.

Just need to pick up a tripod mounted 30 cal for an inside defensive position and then the 50 cal sniper rifle and are still on the property...if they turn to fire...
What is the saying, anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

Gun store in Westerville Ohio had a sandbagged 30 cal setup covering the door, it was very menacing looking and one of the first things you saw coming in... It was a small gun store in one of the downtown business's basement.   Cool shop with plenty of selection for anything you wanted and the owner was a pretty good gunsmith too boot.

Another  10mm in he running is a RIA. Never gave it a second look but lately it's a strong contender.

G10 grips, magwell, adjustable rear sights and optic in the front. The heavy bull barrel  is a plus. After all, 13,500 psi from the cartridge you need durability. For the price it's a lot of gun. I've seeen them for $550. Lifetime warranty to boot.

Might be a go especially entering the 10mm world as a first.
