I'm pretty jazzed on this one also. Will make a great carry piece. Just inventoried 250 rounds of .380, ordering 200 more while on sale.

Was going to pick up a small box of RIP ammo for both the 45 and 380 but this borders on cruelty!  ;D :P

For you shooters that like to plink or target shoot this was one heck of deal. Slipped by me while drooling over something else.

Heck of a buy. Will purchase if it comes in stock. 22 caliper.

Waiting on the new Telos ammo to come out. The RIP is around $2.00 a round however if the time comes, no substitute for good ammo and firearm.

Hope to never be in that situation but prepared none the less.

Actually a good round for home defense, don't need to waste ammo if you hit them in the torso.  Frangible rounds have many variants out there...
Double tap placed close to your aim and they are unlikely to survive.

No way anyone is gonna be suing you after breaking into your home..it happens far to often.

Everytime you aim and fire is not to maim but stop and kill the threat, just a fact.

I know a lady in AZ who carries a .380 and I don't think she can even hit the paper target at 25 feet, anywhere on the target.  She is all over the place.  Never saw anyone that was as bad as her.
The 100 yd rifle target (big target) at 25 feet would probably be safe with her shooting at it.

Truely frightening that she had CCW and CCP.  Now you can conceal carry in AZ without a permit.  Best know the gun laws before you draw or even carry.  Ramifications can be pretty intense.

I choose to have a permit. I believe the permit is good in over 20 states, 29 I believe. Also, if a rape, robbery, kidnaping etc. is in progress according to the last time I read the law, I can fire away taking out the suspect. I choose not to get involved however one never knows does one?

As far as home defense the first thing you do is empty the clip. First thing learned in CCW. Next is tell the Police you feared for your life.

The Walther 9 mm I just bought has two 16 clips, one in gun, one in nightstand with gun. 32 for me and if that doesn't work Mikki's 44 mag with JHP will.

Well, Christmas has ended. I had three more Kimbers I wanted to buy but they never came back in stock. A total of 34 models sold out. Will have to save some money for next Black Friday unless they run a special before.

Over the last couple of weeks three more came in. The first is a sweet Walther PPQ-M2, 22 caliper, German manufacture. These were sold out, one became available then sold out for good as I bought the last one. Still fresh in oil.

Found two extra 12 round clips.

Next is a gun I have been pricing for quite some time. Finally found a better deal, $50.00 less then my local store. Comes with extra clip, 10 + 1 capacity. 15 ounces in weight. USA made. Very nice carry firearm.

Will load both the 9 mm and 380 with some Sig Sauer that was on sale.

Speaking of 380, can  you see  me  now?

What a sweet piece this Kimber Micro 380 Advocate is. Compact, high quality, 13 ounces.  Just love the Kimber line and plan on more.

I will have to practice with this one given the size. No worries, ordered 200 rounds of CCI 95 gr. during the sale.

I had a good Christmas.  ;D

LOL, yeah, I'd say you had a very good Christmas.  8) Good thing that guns aren't like motorcycles and cars, that you don't have to work at keeping them in shape, by getting them out ever so often and using them.  ;)  Enjoy, as I am sure you will. And thanks again, for my "Surprise". Got that '69 1/2 Super Bee sitting on a shelf, with my 2 Daytonas and Viper GTS.

You are very welcome Bill.

Several more (Kimbers) on my hit list forthcoming, just have to wait for a good sale. 9mm Pro Carry, Ultra 45 and Ultra 9mm.

Speaking of a good sale this is a fantastic buy. Since PD are going back to 9mm firearms 40 caliper deals are abound. Unissued so basically new.

Absolutely! If fact I just ordered this for the desert. (Range)  :D

I found it a lot cheaper at Amazon but this describes function.

Friend in SV found a small gun safe at Walmart I think it was that he put in his center console of his truck for when they had to go inside someplace where CCW wasn't allowed.  They bolted it to the floor. Invisible from the outside.  With your car, that isn't possible I would imagine...
Yeah, I was looking at the PD unused stuff from Sportsmans Warehouse I think it was...some incredible deals.  Wouldn't touch a Glock, but a S&W M&P yep.  Had a 22 SW and it was a nice little gun. Sold it to a friend after losing job and needing money to move...along with a boat load of ammo in larger caliber.

If you are referring to the link I posted this is not a gun safe although one could use as such albeit not very secure. I bought this to take to the desert (range) to avoid damage, take several firearms, magazines and avoid carrying separately. Load what I want to shoot on a particular day along with several ammo cans.

I usually lock any firearm in the trunk but most of the time it's on me. When wearing a coat or jacket it's on me regardless. I plee didn't see the sign. Summer is a little different of course. Think Micro .380.  ;)

This carries nice in the Summer months also.

Exceptions are where the CWP law does not allow it. Don't want to jeopardize the permit. Nice to walk in, say I want that one then walk out fifteen minutes later with firearm.

Still in stock with night sights and three clips. You are correct, heck of a buy figuring the extra clips and sights. Surprised they are not sold out.

If I wasn't saving for Kimbers I would pop for a 40 caliper. Must resist, must resist.

No, was referrring tp a steel mini safe for handguns that would fit in the full sized Dodge Ram pickup and the other SUV had.  Not sure what they do in the Mustang, previous body style. Enough room for a couple hanguns and box or two of ammo.

I prefer 45 cal but 40 is nice compromise.  Surprised that they are going back given the 9mm has higher incidence of going through you with velocity sufficient to harm or kill someone else.

I have big hands so a double stack magazine design better than single stack.  Not too many 45s with capacity above 8 rounds.  But, like you say...if you need more than a couple rounds it is going to be bad.  Unless you have multiple "targets" to address.

It's still Christmas here.  :D

I just ordered this beauty today. I have been selling no longer used stuff for quite a while building up the gun fund. I couldn't resist this, fund is depleted. Not sure how many were in stock at Sportsman Outdoor but I bought the last, or maybe the only one they had.

Only 300 produced so which number I get is unknown. Doesn't matter, happy to get one. Will only increase in value and will never be fired just admired.

Details.

Product Description

What's in the Box

1911 L.D. Nimschke Series 70 45 ACP Limited Edition 1 of 300
(2) Magazines
Cable Lock
Owner's Manual
One of 300 factory serial numbers. LDN001 - LDN300.

In 1870, the firearms business centered around New York City. Louis Daniel Nimschke set up his independent engraving shop there after emigrating from Germany in 1850. His work was highly regarded by his contemporaries. Most of the estimated 5,000 jobs were done directly for wealthy collectors, dealers, or gunsmiths, and not for the firearms factories. Nimschke is best known for the quality of his bold American style scrolls, but he was equally skilled in the fine and delicate English styles. Unlike his contemporaries, many of Nimschke's pieces were signed. L.D. Nimschke must be regarded as on of America's finest engravers. This Colt pistol is a tribute to his style and contribution to the art of American engraving.

The design of the modern Nimschke Series 70 Colt .45 incorporates some of his favorite themes and patterns using interwoven scrolls and symmetry covering the complete slide, and echoed further on the frame, and again on the custom hardwood grips. Like many of his elaborately decorated work, the artist's initials can be found on the slide top, just forward of the rear sight.

The slide is brush finished and deep laser engraved on 2 sides and top with distinctive Nimschke patterns. Both the slide top and the rear pannel have selective gold plate. Rear pannels feature a 24kt gold Rampant Colt on one side and scroll on the other. The frame is brush finished and deep laser engraved on both sides Barrel bushing, thumb safety, hammer, slide stop, mag release are brush polished Unique hardwood grips feature Nimschke pattern, a gold Rampant Colt medallion and polished gold grip screws Custom shop box, Special label and insert.
