I know this isn't where you put things that are for sale, but I have some of this stuff and wondered if there is anyone who might be interested and would like to discuss it, in a PM or such. Seriously considering putting it up for sale though and wanted input, if anyone has any. Thanks for looking and ALL input appreciated.  ;)

Hmmmm. I just looked and I am not sure just where I would put a listing, if I post it on here. I guess I would just do as I have done and make you all aware that I have the stuff and if anyone has any interest, we could discuss it in a PM?

I've done some amateur locksmithing, out of necessity.

Sohc4 has a sale/classifieds section.  Good luck!

Ha! Ha! Ha!  ;D  Guess I asked for that one.  ;)

Yeah, I know there is the Sale/Classifieds, but, from what I saw, I wondered if it was mainly for motorcycles and didn't want to cause an issue. Probably would have been good to quiz a Moderator, huh? Sometimes, I don't think too clearly. Might be from the cobwebs?  ::)  Appreciate your input and Thanks, just want to try to get this stuff, to someone who could put it to good use. Was my Dad's, but I just don't have the skills (though I can easily cut duplicate keys, with the machine, but beyond that, I am uneducated. Ya know? Got the machines to cut duplicate keys, some rekeying kits and such, along with some key blanks (But, no automotive type blanks) .

  • One bike is enuf, change my mind
If you don't find a taker on here you probably have a locksmith near you who would be happy to buy some gear.  I worked for one for years, but I was in admin, accounting, and scheduling.  Mortised a couple of doors but never was out doing the rekeys or picks.

Good luck.

You know, I guess I am getting "Brain Dead", cause it never crossed my mind, to check with a local locksmith. Thank you, for your input.  ;)

  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
I did a locksmithing course years ago Bill, and thought about doing it professionally, but had a good job so didn't bother. Most modern machines are made in China now, and they're that cheap that it'd be hard to sell an older, quality machine for what it's really worth. I'd buy yours, but the shipping would probably kill the deal. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I hear ya, Terry. I have seen where a couple of Key Cutting Machines (To cut duplicate keys) went for a $100 or so. But I think my first shot, will be to gather it all up and visit a local locksmith, if nothing else, he may take the key blanks off of my hands. Yeah, you are probably right, shipping wouldn't be cheap, for sure. Appreciate the thought though.  ;)
