Cool bike, is that a brake line going over the wheel? I'd be really sketched out riding that. At speed there's a lot of flexing. A couple months ago there was a member that was running this setup. It caught the wheel and he lost front brakes from the lines getting ripped out. All he got was a scare, but it was enough for him to run a fender. Just looking out!

And, make sure the exhaust is supported at the rear (I can't tell from the picture). That much weight fixing on the exhaust studs will surely lead to issue  :-X

He could probably find a fender and just use the brace (highly recommended for strength) and attach the brake line to that if he wants to run without a fender.

Is that a 500T tank? Looks good.

Yup, that was mine. What he said ^. Run a fender or do what I did and get a rennsport line from Spiegler that has two separate lines that run down the forks.

Yea I know its not finished ... it will have separate brake lines on each side of the forks ...  the exhaust has mounts under the frame that can't be seen in pics ... yes the tank is from a 500t with the petcock relocated I am working on the paint for it now ... cognitomoto front hub ,  the rear had a cognitomoto for a 550 ,but switched it i liked the look of the cb750 rear disc , I sand blasted the motor with shells and powdered all the parts .... gsxr forks with Aprilia 1000 clipons that I milled to fit the forks .. less downward angle more comfy... yes I know I need to get in the habit to take more pics  ... wheels are sun rims 17" headlight is from a 1938 harley 4" . gadget turn signals in barends

Paint and color look great!

I do see a potential issue around the filler neck. It's best to leave a bare metal ring around the top to prevent fumes from penetrating beneath the paint and peeling it.

+1 I found out the hard way that this is absolutely true - if you don't have 5mm of bare metal between the paint and the fuel cap you will get bubbles in the paint around the neck the first time you park in the sun with a full tank.

I should add, there is a safe way of doing this: if your tank is using a liner, then the liner needs to be covering the interior of the neck essentially sealing the paint edges from the fumes. Else, it can be a problem. Just a heads up  :)

I found 2 at long beach swap and tore the foam and fabric off reshaped the foam and had them recovered from a guy out in burbank Ca
very expensive ?? but they came out great .... I have one more if you anyone needs one ????

No i do not need to watch out for bubbles ??? its an old school hotrod trick my Pops showed me years ago in the 50s 60s guys would do it to rods n choppers... you mix (normal glue epoxy ) with your paint ( only for the inside of a neck filler AND before you paint the outside ) spray it and before it dries --- then heat gun it till it starts to burn don't let it burn just keep heat on it .. makes it tougher than powder coat and almost same color -- you can't do it if the tank is already sealed  ---

finished my combo Tachometer / Speedometer --- Tach works and speedo only counts miles no MPH ... I used a speedo from a Norton green dot  --- they are small enough to fit and the trip miles are a separate combo inside  ... machining some parts to work with a rear cable drive from a pre unit BSA to fit my CB rear hub ... sorry I will try to take more pictures next time .. post more when I finish
