The alphabet soup of newer models always left me confused....but this takes the cake:

What a mouthful!

What happened to the days when you had a panhead, shovelhead, or an ironhead?

I know them by their names mostly, like Softtail deluxe or ultra classic. I don't know them by the number like xch871g or whatever, that's where is gets confusing. I do agree I usually know more about what those guys are riding than they do and I don't even own one.

Twin cam ...engine type.
Screaming Eagle...has performance up grades.
110 B ...... 110 cu in with balancers.
CVO...... Customer ordered options like custom paint...built to customer specs.
Softall........frame type.........looks much like a rigid, vs say a twin shock Dyna
Pro Street Breakout...........actual model

Why cant it be simple...because every manufacturer has 40 models and other choices, who want to be the one with only 6 models in the lineup.

Doesnt work that way.
We dont have a choice of stock motor, or factory hopup
We dont have a choice of displacement, on same engine series
We dont have more than oneradically different frme choice , from the factory.
We dont have the choice of ordering factory custom paint and chrome packages
We dont have the choice of four or six models , we had two, and only for a few years.

Thats why ours are 1975 750K, and theirs were 1975 1200 FX, or 1200FXE back then.

       And such as that.

Yep,,,,,first class, so is the chrome, even on the stock models.

I actually tried out a 2007 something glide or bob, that fit petty good, handled ok, and had decent power, but I couldn't pick it out of a lineup now.

I actually tried out a 2007 something glide or bob, that fit petty good, handled ok, and had decent power, but I couldn't pick it out of a lineup now.

First Year of the 6 speed last year of the springer. (Unless you count the crossbones.) I almost bought an 07 od green springer and instead bought a buell. Dummy me. Now you can't find one of those in that color for the same price I was getting it new. It's unbelievable.
