1972 CB 350 For Sale
« on: December 05, 2016, 03:15:19 PM »
I know this bike is not a 4 but I thought I would run this by the forum.  I restored this bike a couple of years ago for a friend of mine, gave it back and they may have put a hundred miles on it.  Sat in the garage since.  He wants to sell it but I'm not real sure how to price it.  Pretty good running bike with a pretty good restoration.  Please let me know what you think.

Pretty Nice Build, but myself, I would have no idea what to ask for it. Gotta say that, when I first saw this thread title, I thought, "What the heck, this isn't the "For Sale" Thread, but now, I see what you had in mind, by putting it here. Hopefully, someone with more input, can pop in here and give you a decent estimate of an asking price.  ;)

It is quality.  The kind of bike I'd expect to see in the used oddities at the local kawi dealer.  They would maybe price a bike like that in the $3,500 to $4,000 range.  Nice work, attractive color  ;D

I really wasn't to sure where to put the thread so now I put advice on the title.  Thanks for the feedback on the build.  It was a fun one since I was using someone else's money.  The color story was that I was on a poker run and saw a Harley of the same color and sent a pic to my friend and we both agreed immediately that we loved it.  The simple black Honda graphic seemed right.  Could have just as easily painted it OEM colors but they are bland IMO.  It can be changed pretty easy if the new owner wants to do it.

The cleanup is going fine but it needs a battery since it sat in cold garage without a tender.  Had to clean out the tank a bit.  Still thinking about price.  They are all over the place on ebay, not anything on CL.  Probably start out around $2500 and see what shakes.  Anyone interested?

The problem with pricing advice is that different areas have different markets. A proper price in one area may not be right for your area.
Go metric, every inch of the way!
