cool,what is the advantage of the cbx studs?I have heard of using diff bolts for the adj cam sprocket.have a buddy with a lot of cbx stuff,he may have a set for me.billp

Those four 6mm bolts under the nickle seals below the cam towers can't bite down very hard.  Replacing them with studs (CBX1000 exhaust studs as per MRieck) and smooth bottom flange nuts allows for decent torque on them, similar to the way the head studs and nuts work.  Credit goes to Mike for this mod.

So my brother has a set of NOS Honda K8 intake valves I could use, part #14711-300-015.  Can I use these in my K4 head?  Is there a difference between the K8 intake valves and the ones before (part #14711-300-005)?

Check the keeper groove the F and I think. Some late K used different keepers.

k8 uses diff keepers and retainers,if you can get the k8 stuff to go with the valves you can use them,but I think the early ones are preferred by perf guys?bill

That's correct. The later style K8 and F2 keepers had a nasty habit of pulling through the spring retainer caps. CycleX has replacement spring retainer caps for the later style that are stronger than stock. A.P.E. only does titanium spring retainers for the earlier style valve keepers.
