It *is* shaping up well!  Nice lines.  Do you have plans for the seat yet?

        Ernie,

First let me say that the style, that you're going for, isn't really my cup of tea. That being
said, I have to tell you that it looks like you've got a plan and you're going for it and that's cool.
It looks like you are really working it out. burma's already asked about the seat, so I won't go there.
What about the front fender and lights? Even though it's not a style that I'd go for, I'm always
interested to see what the other guy is doing and I will be watching to see your progress. Keep up
       the good work and LOL.

                                                               Later on, Bill :) ;)

you can veiw the lighting here http://www.sohc4.us/gallery/v/members/personal/Ernie/DSCN1546gyhrtr.jpg.html .I havent mounted the front tire yet because Im waitin for a new rim and chrome spokes, the only thing Im kinda worried about is the exaust system im loking for a 4 into 2 w/ turnedout ends they had em at cycle x http://www.cyclexchange.net/index%20pics/July%20crisscross%201.JPG but havent returned my emails the paint will be either black and candy copper or cream and candy copper since im going for a 50s/60s look  :) everyone tells me i shouldnt put so much time and money in this old bike but Im really exited about it and enjoy the work if you can call playing with your bike work  :D

ok, let me get my 2 cents in. It ain't half bad. If it were mine (its not) I would remove that spike part at the bottom of theĀ  rear fender and round it out to mimick the front a bit more. I would also lower it some more to get the tire up into the fender a bit, but that may happen when it is assembled with fuel and rider. Looks like your doin a great job.

I am editing to make sure no feelings are hurt......... It looks good to me. I can tell you have put some serious thought and time into your bike.

your absolutely right man the tire does need to go up into the fender another inch but i like the top profile so I figure im going to move the tire up, not the fender down  ;) and thank you guys for your imput its important to me!

I agree whole heartedly. I think the fender is perfect on the frame. just the tire seem too far away.

Well ya just loosen the 3 bolts that hold the fender in place and remove the fender then the tire as usual ;) i thought about hinging the fender but i figured it wouldnt be a big deal to just remove it. the seat uses the original hinge and lock so access is a breeze. This whole build is designed so that i didnt have to cut or modify the frame in anyway, the tank also uses the original mounting system so it would be just a matter of bolting on the old parts if i decided to got back to the original configuration. :)

I feel you.
Mods within the confines of the structure you are given are very cool in my world. Work with what you got. Seems to be a family mantra. ;)
