Currently I'm washing my clothes in the kitchen sink - washing machine is frozen and broken  :(

Hazards of having the laundry room in the garage.

Apartment complex I lived in for a while in Sierra Vista AZ left the sprinkler system going in the winter. It is at 4800ft and it sees freezing temps regularly in winter. Left for work one morning and had to walk in grass as the sidewalk was a sheet of ice because the bozos left the sprinklers going... The other thing was a few trees and a large rhododendron had been coated in ice...
Craziness...
Good expense of water as the grass had already gone dormant and brown... idiots

15 degrees at 3:30PM EST right here in SW PA. and cold expected right through the weekend.I just had minor foot surgery yesterday so have to stay inside anyway.I don't have a heated garage/workshop and the bike sits outside year-round here for now.. I'm hoping for an early Spring  :)

I hope your cactus plants survive that 'cold snap' down there Stev-o  ::)

Not the first time it's happened.  Last time the ice cracked the inlet valve and I had a stream running out of my garage all day long.  It's warmed up now, so it's back to working.  :)

Well it's actually cooling down, after temps in the high 80's overnight (was 80 deg F still at 6am) it rose to 86 fairly quickly, but I think a cool change is coming, it's dropped down to 80 again, (2 pm now) and will be in the low 70's by 5 pm. Tomorrow will be cooler again, and might even rain, but at least it'll be comfortable out in the garage again. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

It was minus 27 here last night, but the garage is way newer and warmer than the house, so much parts cleaning and polishing is getting done!
Anyone know a good source for little scotch brite wheels for a dremel?  I see them on ebay from china but that is hit and miss..

I buy mine in bulk at the local Auto Parts store because they are also an auto paint store. In fact, member DusterDude works there. They're called Rolocs because they screw into a backer pad and that backer is on a shaft clamped into the Dremel or Air Grinder. Google "Roloc ScotchBrite"

Balmy 12F out this morning... about 3 inches of snow on the ground and icy roads from Friday night & Saturday morning snow...
They thought it was going to get down to about 5F so, nice they were wrong.  Heat ran non stop all night regardless.

How do you move heavy pots like that? Do you use a hand truck or just pure muscle picking it up/ lifting and carrying them to the garage?

Hey Wilbur....I was in S. Florida for Thanksgiving and the weather was fantastic!  We went boating on two days, seems like winters are warmer there and summers are a little cooler, guess you can blame the Gulf Stream for that?!

Well on my side of the pond, it's the opposite. 43 Deg F today (just a shade under 110 deg F) so no working on my latest project (Yamaha XS650) out in the driveway, but back to the balmy 80's tomorrow thru to Christmas Day, so not so bad. ;D
