Ha ha, suck it Spotty, I remember working like a dog a few weeks ago while you were swanning around on holidays, but anyway, don't you get to go home once it hits "the ton"? I'm about to go over to Epping Plaza for lunch, then bum around in the aircon until 2.30 when I get my new specs (old ones were destroyed in the "grinder incident") then a nice back massage from the beautiful Alice, my physio. Hard to take I know, but someone's gotta do it.......... ;D

Yep, 46 is farking hot Brian, was 47 here on Black Saturday in 2009 when close to 200 people were killed in the fires, I hope I never see weather like that again.

me being the idiot i am, if i get the call that there are fires up on our hill, i get to drive straight towards them and go help at the cfa ( after rescuing the animals anyway ) unfortunately the bikes get to brave it on their own

hoping it doesn't happen obviously but there must be something burning out there, its real smoke hazy and theres a strange smell of burning just starting to waft in

It was bloody hot in the food court, most disappointing. Now at physio waiting for my massage, much cooler. Life is tough, but you just have to suck it up and soldier on...... ;D

Well after the therapeutic massage from the beautiful Alice, I had to brave the heat outside. I hopped in the car and fired it up, the car told me that it was 45 deg C (113 deg F) outside, and 51 deg C (123.8 F) inside! Fark! Home now, swamp cooler is doing a great job, but it's still 43 deg C (109.4) at 6pm. I hope the cool change comes in quick, I love warm weather, but this is ridiculous! ;D

Top of 31 degrees C where I live in Tassie today.
Saw a news story the other day about how 14,000 people/families had moved to Tasmania last year because of it getting too hot on the mainland.
That is fair enough, we have delectable summers here.
I am more concerned about the 140,000 Chinese people who seem to have also moved in and buying up prime residential and agricultural land as if they are hell bent on taking the place over.

That's a shame mate, when I first went to Tassie in 2009 there were hardly any Asian or Indian people there, and when I was there in September this year, Hobart was crawling with them. Oh well, welcome to the real world, I guess.......... ;D

 Moving those plants around is good exercise.My wife makes me lug some big ones indoors for the winter to hibernate and then back out in the spring. I need to feed them a big batch of brush killer  ;D Pretty blue on that Vette Steve !

I knew a guy who was so protective of his plants, he kept them in an old wardrobe in his garage lined with tinfoil, with fluorescent tubes to keep them warm. Strange guy, but always seemed very happy. ;D

FREEZING again!  This one snuck up, the wifey didnt ask to move the plants!

My fountain water is partially frozen but will thaw quickly once the sun hits it...

Freezing here again, I dont like it!   First the freezing rain came, then the arctic air, down to 5F last night...WTF!
Then the knock out punch came - 6" of the white stuff! Dont think I will be BBQ'ng today!





I did get a short ride in before the snow, may have not been a good decision?!
