I know this isn't in the USA but, yesterday we had 444mm of rain for the day not including the few days before that. Never seen rain like it for such an extended period of time.I'm at Bracken Ridge in sunny old Queensland Australia.

We are on the outskirts of the city, about 20 kilometres our from there. The whole area got caught under a storm that didn't move for days.

Yep, I just postponed my flights to Hervey Bay on Thursday to pick up the BMW R1100RT I bought on Ebay and ride it home. I had planned to ride down to Brissie on Friday and to Sydney on Saturday, but with Gympie and Lismore currently under water I've put it off for 2 weeks, so I can ride down to Dubbo for the 50th anniversary of the Z1 on the 19th. Will still be a good ride, but pisses me off that I'll miss out on a steak at the Brekky Creek Hotel. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Now they are predicting some storms here for the next few days. The water seeping up through the slab only just stopped  this morning. Oh well. There's a lot of people worse off than me.

Just another day in paradise-- for my birds. 22 degrees and snowin, probably till Monday night at least .

Hey Eric...the 'zoo is making national headlines, you get 12" of snow?!

Not freezin' here but "unseasonably cold", only going up to 53F. Should be 70 and sunny, that would make me smile!

...although I am getting a new to me 2004 Hornet 599 tomorrow and pretty bummed that I can't ride it.

599 Hornet - Hmmm.  Have to get with you to see what else you been doing Sean. Ken loves his 919 Hornet. And yes Steve it piling up and way to early for this much but might get close to 40 next week - whoo -hoo !! Been playing on my snowblower but this early wet snow with slush on the bottom that freezes is too much like work to me.

Sometimes it is better to not scrape off the snow if it stuck to the frozen ice and snow mix as you remove anything that could give you traction on foot… cars and trucks are screwed with that composition as the tires when needed to stop just slide and slide until the snow piles up in front of locked up tires, ABS sucks in those conditions as it will not allow the snow to pile up as the wheels won’t lock up…

Glad I do not deal with snow regularly anymore in the desert SW…
Currently 70f at 4:41pm as I type this… was suppose to reach 73 today and will be 72 tomorrow afternoon…
We haven’t seen freezing temps again in Tucson yet, was 35f earlier this week out beyond the Tucson Mtns where I live in the desert. Been very dry, but that is typical this time of year.

No birdie baths today and more snow on the way till it ends and starts getting better Sunday and next week. Are there any brothers or sisters here from the Lake Erie or Ontario area to report in ? Our stuff here in Kalamazoo is child's play compared to their mess.

Picked mushrooms in the nearby forest today. As the previous weekends.
Winter is coming here too.

Maybe some snowflakes the next days.

Still sh1t weather here, summer starts in 10 days time, so it should be warm and dry here, but no. It pissed down rain all day yesterday so no bike rides, and the sun has just come out now but I promised to take the wife and her mum out for lunch, so no bike rides today. Oh well, it's gotta get warm soon......... ;D

It was chilly but sunny earlier today, much different tonight. I got caught in a zero visibility snow squall a mile from home. 5 mph was too fast but so thankful that we were almost home and we made it safely, phew!

16" Eric??  Something to sneeze at!!

We were stuck in a cold and rainy pattern but the sun finally came back yesterday and today we are expecting a "picture perfect" day - sunny and 71F degrees. Tomorrow 79....

Sounds great Stev-o.
The weather here has been a bit more cold/humid than usual this year, but it's year-round riding weather, compared to what's back in the North East;no rain yet.. we really need it.
