Not quite yet, Rick! After a hot 89F Saturday, a cold front blew through and only 60F out there now. But back into the 80's by Thurs but then lows in the 30's this weekend?!! Can anyone say roller coaster ride?!

We're looking to get up to two feet of snow between tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Then high winds to follow, just another March in the northeast. Hard to believe, but took a quick ride yesterday, won't be doing that again any time soon.

NE is getting hit with NorEaster, causing all the snowfall… we are in high 70s and low 80s tomorrow then temps fall around 70 for several days afterwards…
Flowers are blooming, winter/spring grass is growing and allergies are cranking back up…
Rattlesnakes are out, animals are mating and migratory birds are coming through… robins and others have been spotted more frequently the past week or so. To think we had a rare 2 inches of snow on March 2nd…

Hang in there folks still in the frozen wastelands spring is coming…

We're too far east for lake effect, we've had a quiet winter so far, so it's not such a surprise. But it is getting late in the winter for snow fall of that amount. It's still kinda warm at the moment, rain and drizzle, then it's going to change over to colder air, we'll see. It's the weather, give it 5 minutes, it'll change.

Here too, Eric! Had a big storm/cold front roll through last night and woke up to 40 degrees this morning....brrrrrrrr. Was 80 yesterday, but that will be just a distant memory as the cold is sticking around for a few days.

Another winter weather advisory Friday night through Saturday. Last few weekends we get a new blanket after the previous melts away. Steve did I hear you say roller coaster !

It’s Autumn (Fall) here in Oz and the temperatures should be plummeting but thankfully we’re experiencing an Indian summer and it’s going to be in the low 90’s again today. Too hot for bike riding but I’ve taken advantage of the heat and filled my Fireblade tank with Evaporust to remove all of the rust that didn’t come out when I first did it last winter. It worked really well in my RC51 tank over a couple of weeks in Summer, so I’m hoping for a similar result with the blade.

While the tank’s off I’ll strip and rebuild the carbs as it started to run poorly recently, probably due to little flakes of rust blocking jets. I bought new carb kits for it last year so I’ll strip the carbs and give them a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner, then install all the new jets and rubbers etc. I’ll probably sell the bike because it’s not something I could ride for any distance due to my age and injuries, but I want to make sure that it’s a good runner before I put it up for sale.

It's finally starting to warm up here. Today we finished framing up the new shed roof on the back wall of the shop. It's 10' x 14' x 8' high at the beam. with a 12' x 16' roof. We've used the kids old swingset lumber for the wall and new lumber for the roof framing. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so Paul and I are planning to go riding. It will be the first decent ride on the 77' KZ 1000LTD and the same for the new Delkevik exhaust system on the 82' CB 900F.

Yes it is black ceramic coated. We had just ordered the regular stainless pipe when I noticed it on their site. Two hours later Paul texted me and said that he changed the order to the black pipe. It was more money but it's definitely the right choice for this bike.

I think we need to richen it up just a bit, it was popping a little. Other than that it was great.

The 77' KZ 1000LTD had some gremlins playing with the electrical system, but it runs and rides great.

Sometimes we swap during a ride but usually we each pick a bike for the day and go. With 10 solid runners it's sometimes hard to choose.

Roller Coaster!

Well the first day of Spring is here and the low this morning was 41...WTF?! But this will be the last cold day as the forecast is 70's & 80's for the rest of the week....love Spring.

Here the wildflowers are in full bloom at lower elevations and Mt Lemmon at about 9k feet has melted almost all its snow and the very early spring plants are responding to the moisture and warming weather there. Here in the desert valley it was 39 this morning and will warm to 73 this afternoon. Tomorrow is forecasted to reach the low 80s! So, spring is clawing its way out of the moist winter.

The temps that are chilly in morning are a challenge riding throughout the day as you are in warm gear to ride in the morning or a few hours after sunset and mid day you are in airflow mesh. Hey, if that were my biggest problem I would be a very happy man…

The winter gear will be put on sale soon if not already, so if you need cold weather riding gear soon it will be time to take advantage of the close out prices, just don’t wait too long or commonly worn sizes will be sold out.

It's in the 60's here, severe storms predicted. Stores and schools are even closing early due to forecasts of rain and wind. One weatherman said softball size hail is possible. I had better get my ride in early. Freezing rain and snow tonight.
