Maxim Works 4:1 Exhaust
« on: November 14, 2016, 01:17:55 PM »
Does anyone know anything about Maxim Works? I just picked up a 4:1 system from a really cool guy named Dave, down is SD. I can't really find anything about them relating to CB750's, they are still around but make and distribute NA exhaust systems for import cars. I'll get a photo up soon if anyone is interested. Far as I can tell, it's a break away company that started with Yoshimura way back when.  :D Rick.

Looks like they only do auto headers now. Got any pics?

I saw some info online where it was linked to Yoshimura somehow, but now I cant find it. A Google search turns up nothing related to the CB750. In any case, I'm interested in hearing it run, but I'm not going to swap systems any time soon, too many other things to do right now. It'll have to go on the next build!  ;)

Found that interwebs blurb linking Maxim Works and Yoshimura. Not much else....

Maxim Works
Started by one of the founders of high quality motorcycle exhaust manufacturer, Yoshimura, Maxim Works is high popular among the NA tuning crowd for their high quality Headers. Maxim Works works as an "Old-School" company and doesn't keep up with technology. This means that they do not keep up to date with a web-site or any other international distribution. All of Maxim Works' exhaust pieces are manufactured in Japan, JASMA certified with machined finished flanges and only put together with Japan's SUS304TP Spec Stainless Steel.

Me too Stev-O, the guy said he had it on his '74 CB750 and I held it up to my MAC and the spacing looks correct, but you're right; I wont know until I try to fit it. LOL

Me too, though I think it could be pretty mellow. The dude Dave, said it had a good sound but the baffle isn't removable without cutting it up and I won't do that.  :)

Ditto on that. Head pipe looks like Yosh but not the can. The can is not bad looking though.
