Here's a wee selection of the Honda Police bikes, I've got some better shots of 550 and 500's on my other computer that I'm indexing right now so I'll post those when I get a chance.
The pictured 750 is a Canadian one although Australia New Zealand and many South African countries used them too.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hey Hush - I took my CB750 into a painter in town to talk about a respray and in walks a guy of about mid 50's and comes over to look at the bike. Said he was an ex-cop who rode CB750's around Wellington area and loved them. He said one of their bikes was totalled one day and HQ had no Cap EX budget - but plenty of maintenance $$, so they kept the crankshaft and replaced and rebuilt every other piece to make another one!

Govt money eh...ah the old days when $$ were just numbers and we didn't give a damn about the cost. ;D
If I ever find a CB750P I'm buying it...no questions. ;)

They come up for sale here in Oz every now and then Hushy, I've got a CB750P K0 rear fender and a speedo here, I might do a "Wellington Police force" and build one out of parts, ha ha! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yes mine was in service with the Ministry of Transport from 1982 till 1985, Honda built these bikes up in 1979 in Japan ready for the worlds' Police forces and shipped them out as orders came in.
That is another reason I get to run with all lights and siren on, they were imported ready to run as Police bikes and one of the funny little quirks of NZ is that if a vehicle enters our country (and passes the import inspection) then it can remain in it's imported state.
I'm in contact with 9 other guys around NZ who are either rebuilding the old MOT bikes or are finished and riding them.
Jaffa and I were riding a few weeks back and she had a wee problem so I parked mine and rode off to see if I could diagnose her problem, when I got back she was talking to a cop and I thought "here goes a ticket for parking on the footpath".
But he just wanted to stop and admire the old bike, he used to ride the same model and hadn't seen one running for decades, nice guy and I bet I'm safe from his tickets for life. ;D

Oh I dunno, what I wear mimics the present uniform so it's a pretty convincing image. ;)

I love those solo seats with the box tops - what an awesome looking bike. Kind of reminds me a bit of the solo seated beemers.

Hi I have got a Honda 550 F police edition and have been working with it on and of for the last year.
Was wondering if any one knows where I might find some sirens and lights.

I've never seen a CB500 Police bike. They might had problems keeping up with me on a CB750!
Around here BMW R75/80, later the tripple K75. I parked my bike 1990, back on the roads 2014. I saw them several times looking for a speed devil with screaming 4-1 "... me..? no I have been parked here for an hour...must been another guy heading in that direction!!! "

The Police bikes are really beautiful! White and nice gadgets.

I've got a brand new police speedo from the 1970's here, when I was 18 I was charged with "Speed in excess of 180 KPH" I could never work out why, my speedo on my CB750F was reading over 200 KPH, but the answer was obvious when I received the new speedo, they only went up to 180 KPH! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

I have 500 Police Four K1:
I miss headlight and chrom trim around my bucket
I see on picktures that 450P and 750P have same bucket.
Does anyone know what headlight who will fit?
Anybody know part numbers, or want to sell?
