1981 cb650 intake valve
« on: December 11, 2016, 04:41:16 PM »
So I looked around on google and around on here. I can not find an intake valve for my bike that is available, all searches turn up obsolete/unavailable. I only need one. I can't figure out how to see if there are any models that have a valve that will work correctly. Also can't figure out how to find out if vesrah makes one. Anyone know something I don't?

You might want to double check the part#, but this might get you out of trouble.

Frostyboy: That part is a valve spring.

This is the part:
http://www.partsfish.com/oemparts/p/honda/14711-426-003/valve-in-nittan

They are not stocked new but they are available NEW on ebay VERY OFTEN.  Check every week or so.  You should be able to get a new one for $12-20 or a used one even cheaper.

Here's one listing but it's high as crack as to price:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Inlet-valve-Intake-valve-Honda-CB650-RC03-CB650C-RC05-New-Part-/262033272052?hash=item3d02666cf4:g:qNIAAOSwBahVGrj4&vxp=mtr

If you're interested in a completely rebuilt head with all new valvetrain parts, let me know (also a set of harrisuluv rebuilt CV carburetors).

Frostyboy: That part is a valve spring.

I'm not quite sure how I screwed that up, but thanks. They do list one available though.

I found one on cmnsl? It's $38 and in the UK, but I need it. Not sure I can afford buying a fully rebuilt head Cb750 Cafe Racer Fan

The one on the US site for David Silver Spares is $30 : http://www.davidsilverspares.com/parts/by-part-number/partnumber_17686/
Shipping will likely be much more affordable than CMSNL -- which charges an arm and a leg.
