Here is my latest project, I have a 63 Honda C200, I'm putting a Chinese in it.The brand name is Hauwei, never heard of it(got it a garage sale). It says 86ml on engine, I guess they don't like using "cc". I have two complete engines, minus one wire loom.

If it was complete Id restore it, but a lot of stuff missing. Right now im just getting the engine in, new tires. Plan on riding it on daughters property, eventually will be grandsons first big bike. I have a line on a cheap PW50 for now.

I recommend a yahoo group, Ill edit it in when I find it. I kind of got sick of all the updates after signing up, but that was the way to get info.

"Copy" it's not I understand, it looks like the oil port is different between the two of yours.

Mounting points can be different slightly or more and there are kits and tips if you find things don't just bolt up like you hoped.

I have a lifan 88cc 4speed semiauto that I got off of eBay on a 1968 z50 and it is pretty wicked. The original engine needed too many parts to justify a rebuild at the time. I have it on a shelf in the garage and maybe one day I'll put it back together.

Question, what the the big sprocket for?

The big sprocket from what I understand was a Honda accessory that included the sprocket, adapter plate, chain link and bolts. You would remove the bolts on the big sprocket and slide the sprocket over and use the same bolts to attach the sprockets together. The CT90 had this similar setup but I believe this was an accessory. If Im wrong let me know, unlike in a Few Good Men, I can handle the truth.

The engine fits after making a small notch. The foot peg bolts holes are offset so had to buy an adapter from DRATV.

hahaha, it was on the bike and so ill leave it on there, kind of like it. My uncle put a huge sprocket like that on cousins step-through 50, it slowed us down. Top speed was about 25.

Having more hp without having more braking can spell trouble. Ensure your brakes are working as well as possible to maximize their effectiveness.

Yep you right, I've never seen any big sprockets on any C200 photos.

As the store goes, Soichiro Honda in the late 50's and early 60's wondered why rural areas in the Mid-West were buying a lot of the C50 CUB's when they were basically designed for urban city commuting. They sent a team to investigate and found farmers were putting on knobby tires, racks etc and using they on the ranches. Thus was born the Trail 50 which and long with the Cub there biggest sellers.

you have to make a komplet new wiring..as the china is use cdi ignision and 12 volt battery..but its a easy thange..its basis the same as all china atv and cross modells use
i have just put a new china engine on the kids lifan dax..have some problems get the caburettor to Work perfekt..but the rest just Work fine...he is on the 2 oil thange run it more 1000 km

My hardtail 50, as rough as it is, goes through everything that my wr goes through with that 88 4spd. It's a ton of fun in the woods but the hardtail does suck.

Actually this engine is probably the same or less HP than the stock engine. Its 86cc, stock was 90cc.

no good on struktuell stressed parts...the solder is far weaker then the cast aluminium..and the streangh/softnes dont match the orginal material...go for tig velding..
its fine for broken engine shields..to hold vater and dirt aut..and fill some holes..but not on brakes and stering parts..vho is importment for safty

I have wondered about this product in the past, it's not solder, but I can't tell you what exactly it is.

yes it are not direkt the same as solder..but either pure aluminium..it have a lover melding point then alu
..so have some p-b..and zink build inn..to make it melting farster..but that make it veaker and softer

tig weld is the only vay to make a strong burn total trough..and give a almost as good as new reparation..

I got the bike running yesterday, started right up but most definitely is geared too tall. 37t on now, I have a 44T that I think will be good. The timing is fixed, no adjustment not sure if other Chinese engines are like that.
Its slower than my old Honda S90.

Congrats on the progress. Would gearing it like the S90 possibly wake it up? The S90 was what, 8HP before the transmission and rear wheel drive. What are the specs of the Chinese clone motor you bought?

I really dont know, I bought a guys garage and this was part of it. But I heard they are less, a 110 would be equal to a 90 and so on. That all may have changed since I heard that info.

that exhost systen are restitve. id it are the 50-125 cc type.my son had it on his dax lifan..and it ran like #$%*..ve took a cross model,, exh and put on and it vas better..tryed to drill aut the champers but no good resultats

Thanks for the muffler info, DRATV has a low and i think unrestricted pipe, but not in stock.
