Cuban Rum is a magnificent drink Mick, way better than our national drink (Bundaberg Rum) and I've been a fan of Coruba Rum for many years too. Those bloody Czech's are lucky, that'll be the nicest booze they've ever tasted, and if they're lucky enough to get a few Cuban cigars as well, they'll think they've died and gone to heaven! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The Coruba is a nice drop mate.
Bundy Rum was the choice of drink wherever you went and it still is.
I don't know what it is with the Bundy but it certainly has some extreme behaviour altering properties  and it doesn't  discriminate.

The evening that I fell out of an African Mahogany tree with a skinful of Bundy Rum and broke a few teeth and needed some stitches as well was the evening that the Bundy drinking career was terminated.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Ha ha, I went to a wedding in '89 and got absolutely smashed on Bundy, the wife drove me home and when we got there I abused the baby sitter, who was a friend of the wife, stripped off naked and went to bed, got the aeroplane spins and staggered out onto the ramp from the house down to the back yard and spewed into the garden until I could spew no more, then collapsed, unconscious.

The wife was so pissed off with me that she just left me there, and I was woken next morning by my neighbour who was mowing his lawn and howling with laughter, while my kids were running around with their mates and using me as a hurdle, while I laid there, naked and out to the world.

The next day a few other guests at the wedding came to see me to remind me of my antics and I think some were expecting an apology, but fcuk 'em, it wasn't my fault, it was the Bundy. Hey Havana Club red Rum is on special at Dan Murphy's, I think I better go pick up a bottle! ;D

Well I suppose that it could've been worse mate.
Especially if you had've asked the babysitter for a quick BJ before you spewed up and flaked out.
Not there's anything wrong with that because it is a fairly standard Bundaberg Rum enquiry.  ;D

Jesus Mick, were you there too? That's exactly how it went down, no bullsh1t! Anyway, I had to buy a beaut new 155 dollar Bunnings BBQ and a new gas bottle today, so I dropped into Dan Murphy's on the way and picked up a bottle of Havana Club Rum and a 6 pack of Bundy OP and Cola cans for the beer fridge in the shed. (which is still full from last Christmas, and the beer still tastes OK)

when I got home I chucked a couple of OP's in the freezer while I poured myself a generous serve of Havana Club and coke then set to work on the bike, man, what a contrast to yesterday, everything went super smooth today, I decided to work smarter, not harder, so I sat down as often as possible, kept hydrated out in the sun with plenty of OP Rum once they were cold enough, and I'm surprised at how much work got done!

Of course there was a minor down side for the day, seems I crushed the tip of my finger somehow (fcuked if I can remember what happened, but it's black and hurting like a barstard now, even though I've been working thru the rum at an alarming rate) and I got a bit sunburned on one side of my face when I decided to have a little nap in the driveway, and of course the missus wasn't too happy when she found me drunk, unconscious, sunburned as fcuk and probably needing medical attention for my finger, but other than that, it was a great day, give that Havana Club a bash mate, it's good stuff! ;D

Yes, it got more popular after the russian army moved out in 1990 :)

THAT'S funny.  ;D

It was an occupation force.

I know. For perverse reasons it makes your comment more funny. I appreciate very black humor.  :)

I have severe alcohol problem since I have plenty of mostly full bottles with whisky, vodka, rum, absinthe, various liqeurs like Grand Marnier and similar stuff. From travels in Thailand and Greece still on the shelves.

Plus 10-15 liter good home made "vodka" from the 90's filtered with good activated carbon making it to taste very smooth. Good black-out stuff, no memories if drinking too much which is done very easy... maybe a week or 2 afterwards. :)

My friends without that problem have not many bottles home 1 or 2.... :-)

I prefer better models of red wine with tasty food.

People with alcohol problems dont have any at home - thats how they stay sober.
