I'm currently scouring the internet for the pieces I need to get a working clutch for my CB500.  So far I've bought parts numbered 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, 13, 14, but I'm sure the attached pic is missing at least the clutch lever (where the cable attaches).  Is there anything else behind there that I can't see in this pic?

Also, does anyone have part numbers 3, 8, and 10 that they can spare?

Thanks,

Jordan

Better to consult the Original Honda Partslists instead of aftermarket manuals that all offer corrupted data. No exception! For instance the cover that your pic shows is not found on any CB550. It's on yours however, so my guess is PO used that #@^%$! Clymer manual...
Cf p. 30 and 31 here http://www.honda4fun.com/pdf_parts_list/pdf_spac500/CB500_76-K-K1-K2/CB500K-K1-K2_03.pdf
You will definetely need part 3, the others can be improvised.

Thanks Deltarider,

I'm referring to the Clymer manual and various other part listings as I'm now confident that I'm looking for 500 parts only.  I would still like to see the other side of the cover - I don't know why these parts aren't shown in any schematics, including your link...

With that long pushrod, I think the lever is on the opposite side of the engine.

I thought the clutch was on right side of the motor?  Only clutch related doodad on the left of the 550 is the shift lever rod.  What is different on 500's?

OK, spent some time looking into this. The clutch cable end ferrule attaches to part #3, "clutch actuator". Because of the angle in the drawing, you can't see the swiveling cable attaching part.

NLA new, maybe someone has a used/good one to sell you? The 323 code is for the CB500 so it may not have been used on other models.

Thank you Bodi!  In fact this dawned on me just a few hours ago and I've now managed to source one from a fellow member.  Thanks for looking into it!

Don't forget the little steel ball that goes in the hole.
