So on a different note, bottom end is done.  Got my ape studs in and going to do pistons tonight and hopefully get the cylinders on.

That's a Really nice looking blue custom CB550 Don  8)

I admittedly took the easy way out with my fork legs.  My painter has a polishing service that took them from this to shiny for $30.

I doubt it.  It's someone my painter subs out to for polishing work.  My painter took care of everything.  He even disassembled my crusty donor forks (since I didn't want anything on them but the legs), sent them out for polishing and gave them to me all pretty -- for $30.  Solid deal!

Add that with my lightened crank, and Mike's stage 2 port job, should move pretty good

If you haven't torqued down your head yet (it doesn't look like it), you might want to consider pulling the cylinders back off and putting some heat shrink or painting over those A.P.E. studs, the ones that are exposed to the elements will rust and you will not be able to un-notice it.
