Well got a direction for my rear hugger.  Was considering cutting and polished a piece of aluminum and mounting it to the rear frame rails but I didn't like the idea of covering all that area up.  So decided on a carbon fiber hugger mounted to the swinger.  This is just for an idea.  The new ktm 390's have a hugger very similar that should work for me.  Updates coming soon

If you are making the hugger, you might want to mold a flange of mounting onto the swingarm.  For reference, here are some photos of the hugger I used on my sportbike.

Alright got my hugger mocked up and shipper out to Tannermatic to make it out of carbon for me.  Changing the oil and rechecking rocker clearance.  Also figured out the issue I was having with my speed hut gauge.  The plug wires weren't shielded and were causing interference.

Just finished her first oil change since. Holding the motor.  I opening up the filter and it looked really good.  Next I have to swap my plug wire to resistor ones as they were interfering with my speedo/tach.

Those pipes say you're running REALLY lean. Have you done a few plug chops yet?

If you want an easy way to clean them, use 0000 steel wool (I prefer stainless steel brushes actually) while they're still a tad hot, and just wipe them along the tube. They should come up clean. Once cool, a bit of an acetone wipe to prevent any staining.

Hey cal that's how the pipes came.  They added glueing for cosmetics and probably also from them hearing it to bend the head pipes by hand.  Plug chops look good.
