New here with a CB
« on: December 27, 2016, 03:45:36 PM »
Hey guys, my name is Brian and I'm from the Boston MA area. I've had a few Harley's in the past then got out of the bike scene for a bit. Then I really started liking the older Japanese bikes. So I got a 80 kz 550 that I loved but ended up selling to a guy that offered me too much to say no. So then I bought my current bike, a 1976 cb550k. Loving this bike so far. Hope to get some good info on here and maybe be able to help out others. Here is a pic of my kz and my CB

Welcome ....dont ever repaint that..
That muffler looks like a reverse reverse cone.
The back of the frame by the tailight, is the part behind the seat open, or have a piece of perfplate welded in ?  At least you can carry a jacket, six pack, or sleeping bag there, most guys cut the end off and got nothing. ..

Wow.  Nice 550.  Did you do the work?  I'm about to buy a non-runner that looks to be in good shape.

I like the look of the rear too.  Very cool and different.
