Greetings from western canada
« on: December 24, 2016, 08:15:06 AM »
Time to say hello.
I acquired this 78 750F a couple of months ago and am working towards getting it fit for service after it's 22 year hibernation by its previous owner.
Having lurked here for awhile it's truly impressive the knowledge and info. members  here offer.
Pics of when it arrived home after picking it up.

Located in Victoria.
It's turning out to be a pretty good survivor as the previous owner did drain the tank and carbs before it's long storage. When I looked in the tank it's rust free but it did look like it still had some old gas in it. Turns out he had put a litre or so of oil in the gas tank which seems to have helped.
While looking for the necessary parts to get it back on the road for this spring I now understand why this model is kind of the bastard child of Honda.
I'm Finding  most of what is needed with the exception of the unobtanium exhaust muffler.
Might end up with an aftermarket 4-1 at this point.

A happy new year to all and thanks for the welcome.
This is the state of affairs now and time for a post with questions regarding exhaust system options and opinions.

Hey,
I'm up in N. Alberta. In Jan, I just picked up a non running, lots of missing parts 1972 cb750K2 with K1 engine. ripping it apart to learn about how it all works then turn into some sort of runner.

Looking to make some connections for tips tricks and advice. Especialy where to get parts in Canada without going to the US for them!

look forward to chatting,
Mike
