plastic main jets???????

i just pulled apart the carbs that were on my 75 750f for the emulsion tubes and lo and behold there were plastic pain jets in them! 115's has anyone else ever seen these before?

Yes. The used to sell them at my local dealer back in the day,might still have them, as a cheaper alternative to the brass ones. I think the were touted as being made out of "nylon".Not a bad idea for tuning,buy a bunch in different sizes and then buy the brassy when you find the magic size.

i put them into the carbs because they were 115's rather than the 110's that were in the carbs. they'll do till the 120-130's come this week...........hopefully.

I jsut stoppped into Paul's cycle here on Fri and asked if he had some old jets that I could try.  He pulled out a drawer and there were a bunch of those nylon ones in there he laughed and said they used to use them all the time back in the old days.  He used to race an old 750F.  He said they would always be changing the jets and the nylons were pretty common back then.
