Cylinder Block Difference

I have a cylinder block that DOES NOT have the 12mm knock pins with the "packing" around the studs between cylinders 1-2 and 3-4. Everything else looks like the other SOHC blocks I have. Is it an "F" block? can you use it together with a K head and a K head gasket?

I'm pretty sure early K blocks didn't have them either. Check the parts fiche for K1 or something. I have a k4 and it has the pins, but many people leave them out when rebuilding

it is a k block,k2/k3 or earlier,it will work with the right gasket.bill

Thank you guys! I should have checked my K1-K3 parts manual. That is indeed it. So, the right gasket would be an early head gasket?
