They didn't compete much for sales (probably not at all as far as the Chief vs the Vision), but internally they competed for R&D dollars.
Plus they've added that Slingshot abomination to the mix too.

I agree. It's probably fun to drive, but it looks like another Polaris moneyhole. 

I wonder what will become of the electric motorcycles (asset purchased from Brammo) . . .

The slingshot is a chevy cyclecar

The techs at the local polaris shop are pissed cause they didn't spend 2 years at MMI to do career work on a chevy
