The 500/550 is 36 hole the 750 is 40 hole so I would have to say no.

The front is exactly the same as a 750, the rear hub on a 500/550 requires different spokes than the 750, but is 40 hole.

I used 750 rim on my CB500, as it is 2.15 compared to the 1.85 that is stock on the CB500/550

450,500, 550, 750, 1000 wire wheels all. Use same hub..   But 77/78......looks diffferent.. But still interchanges..

I just laced up a set of wheels for a buddy of mine.  He has a 500.   We used a set of spokes from one of my 750s
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Hey Frank...I've noticed that too. Any idea why they made that change?

The front are the same, the rear may have different length elbows?

Isn't the backing plate on the later rear hub also different?

What struck me as odd is the ribs on the hub circumference are un-needed on a disc brake setup and yet the front hub has them.  A drum brake needs the cooling area/ benefits from it...disc brakes do not.  I wonder if it is merely to give them symmetry?

Sorry, I haven't posted a response. Thank you all for replying. I finally got a break from school/work and was able to order spokes for a CB750 and they worked perfectly on my CB500 hubs and rims.  :D :D
