CB500 chopper - sweet '70's goodness
« on: January 19, 2017, 03:12:41 AM »
Check out the frame mods on the latest pile I hauled home. Lots of chrome parts, too. I'll probably try making a quick flip on this one as-is, but I may keep a couple of chrome parts and sell the rest if nobody wants to come haul it away.

Sitting here at lunch with my chopper buddy and showed him the pics...He got excited over the frame molding...And he doesn't even like Honda's.  I'd try to preserve that
If it works good, it looks good...

I'm torn between grabbing a few of the chrome pieces for my next build, or just flipping the whole bike as-is. (they clean up OK, but not perfect....and I'm trying to "step up my game" a little bit in the next build. Not sure I'd be happy with the results).
If I use some parts, I'd have to sell the rest, and the LAST thing I need to do is start creating a new parts pile.

Get it running, clean it up some, put a tank and seat on it in gray primer and sell it as a "customizer special"
You'll probably make a tidy profit.  Sit back and congratulate yourself on preserving a bit of history.  Some kid would be thrilled to "make it his own"
intrigued by the wail...seduced by the scream.

Too much work to do that. Not while I'm elbow deep in another build. And no title, either.

I have it on Craigslist for $200 OBO.

I can part it out for more but just don't want to deal with that or the leftovers.
