72 CB750 Worth
« on: January 05, 2017, 04:51:40 am »
I was wondering if anyone could give me a good listing price for 1972 CB750 would be?
70,000 original mikes with Dyan ignition, Shoei bags, front disc drilled with Nissan master cylinder, runs OK, may need rebuild soon.
Driven weekly, new petcock. New tires and battery.
Just need ballpark price.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Greg. Key to pricing I've found is cosmetic condition/ original paint and whether the HM341 4-4 pipes are still solid (big ticket item).

How much would it be worth in perfect restored condition? About 5K I suspect. How much would it take to put it in that condition? Is it running? is it in basic stock configuration? What do you want, a cafe racer, bobber, chopper, stock. Supply more info and pictures please.

Not that much of an expert regarding 750 SOHCs, but considering prices of comparable vintage bikes, in the condition the bike is in - it looks clean, non-original paint, no-original exhaust and relatively high mileage - but everything seems solid, I would put the price at around 2K, as is.
You don't get much anymore for that kind of money.

Thanks guys. IT's still runs good with a little TLC after it sits for a month.  But once it's warmed up it has been very reliable.
An older guy at work wants it and I am going through it now to make sure everything is sound.  Cleaning it up, fresh gas, etc.

Dickl

No idea about the prizes in US but here in Europe that would be 10 - 12 for a perfect K2

I doubt that anybody will buy + restore a K2 to perfect condition for 5k$.
Doc, I love a motorcycle!
