1979 CB650 crank bearings
« on: January 23, 2017, 06:07:09 PM »
I currently own a 1979 cb650 and am having the motor rebuilt. Was wondering what some guys are doing to replace crank bearings, they seem to be unattainable.  And ideas on sourcing, and or different way to go about possibly using something else. Would hate to get the rest of the motor done and have this as the failed part.

Make sure to order from David Silver Spares USA site instead of the UK site OR YOU WILL PAY OUT THE NOSE FOR SHIPPING.  I think they both ship from the UK, but the USA site does not charge you international shipping rates.

So, it looks like the ones that are on the David Silver Spares are the connecting rod bearings. Does anyone have any idea where we may be able to get the main crankshaft bearings.
Thanks in advance.

humble apologies, that is the con rod bearing.
here you go
BEARING A 13315-426-003
BRG B, CRANKSHAFT 13316-426-003
BRG C, CRANKSHAFT 13317-426-003
BRG D, CRANKSHAFT 13318-426-003
copy the part number and paste into the part finder at DSS or even better, let google do it. not all bearings are available.
