CB750 77-78 K and F PD Carburettors
« on: January 30, 2017, 05:04:52 AM »
Hi all, I am wondering here if there is any physical difference between the following carburettors:

K7 - PD41A
F2 - PD41B
F3 - PD42A
K8 - PD42B?

It looks to me the last three have the same body but the K7 one appears different. It had a different float height too.

Do they use the same gaskets?

Thanks in advance!

Same gaskets.
the 41's have adjustable needle clip positions.
The 42's have fixed needle clips.

But isn't the 41A smaller? Why does it have a different float height?

I cant say if they are smaller.  Never measured either of mine.  I have 41a's and 42b's.  Just interchanged a few parts when needed, and always clear tube checked/adjusted the floats.

If you ever have the opportunity to measure them, it would be much appreciated.

There has to be some difference, the float height would be 12.5mm otherwise.
