Actually, mornings are great here, we get up at 4:30. When we go to the beach (half mile from house) we get there at 7. Turtles are all over the place and the tourists are still in bed.
As for polishing, I learned a newbie lesson. If you used paint stripper and think you got the clear off, wash the parts well and do it again. I found that I could not get things looking right, there was a haze. I stripped the parts again and things started to get polished correctly. I even did the oil pan a bit just because. I'm doing the master cylinder because the anodization was shot. Have not decided what to do there. No one can anodize here, not sure I want to buy a new one, polished may be the answer. I'm not sure any coatings would stay on. The folks at POR15 say their product won't hold up to brake fluid.
Next I will be working on the hubs so I can lace up the stainless spokes.
