This is way down the south and west face of the island. In the distance on the left is Kahoolawe island, formerly used for bombing practice by the Navy and now under remediation, Molokini Crater in the middle and the island of Lanai on the right.
As I drive it more and more between other demands for my time, I am really appreciating the solid feel of the improvements (fork rebuild, head bearings, swing arm bushings, Hagon shocks, tires, etc.). It really feels planted now. I am also liking the engine responsiveness. So far the spark plugs look pretty good. I will be taking it up the mountain soon so it will get a bit more steady road time so I can get a better read on jetting. Right now it's 108's with needles in the middle. Stock cam, Hondaman head restoration with no "hotrodding", just solid stock configuration, .5 mm over pistons, K0 no number exhaust, 17-48 gearing, stock air box and cleaner, no holes, ethanol free fuel.
After all the years since I had my K0 I never thought I'd be doing this but it's great. When it's broken in some more I will test the red line, but that is a ways off.
Aloha to all
