The pistons are 0.5mm over, provided by Hondaman, (they are Japanese) along with the machine service to bore the cylinders. I think that makes the engine 749cc. He is also giving the head a freshening up. I'm not making a hot rod or anything, just a sound stock engine with new primary chain, cam chain, tensioners, seals, etc. The rest of the bike is being treated the same way, I'll post more pictures as I go along. It will look like my K0 I rode as a 20 something.
As we all know, when you strip down a 43 year old CB, you find endless parts lists to replace if your goal is to make the bike as fresh as you can. Things like battery bumpers, electrical boots, obscure fasteners, all that stuff is dull and tired. I decided to get a re-chromed kick starter and shifter, as the bike progressed I realized the existing ones would look out of place if I didn't either re-chrome them or get another. There are no chrome shops near here so I ordered one from Yamiya750. The frame is POR15 chassis black with their top coat for UV protection.
I still have my stock pistons, in good condition, not sure what I'll do with them, maybe someone will need them some day.
Turns out these Mynas are pretty social birds, this one must have been rescued by someone and released. They love to take a bath. If I sit on the pool step and let my leg go down and rest in the water he/she walks down to where it's belly deep and just shakes and flutters until it's soaking wet, they love it.
