Johnny Carson
« on: January 26, 2017, 01:54:40 AM »
As a kid and into adulthood I always loved watching him and the Tonight Show until he retired in 1992 and did his last show. I remember watching this clip live with Dyan Cannon and still get a kick out of it each time I watch it some 30 years later. Johnny was the best.

Good stuff. One of our local channels runs the Tonight Show from back in the 70's and 80's every night. There was some funny stuff on there.

We got free tickets to to the Carson show and it was huge fun, something I'll always remember.

That was fall of 76. We were on route from Van, BC to Arizona (my CB750 naturally) and spent a couple days in LA. Pitched a tent on Leo Carillo beach and left all our belongings in the tent during the day....didn't lose a thing!  8)

Carson was a interesting character.  Everyone who watched him for years assumed that they "knew" him but he was an extremely private guy.

I liked the Great Carnac.  Ziss, Boom, Bahh,  Describe the sound of an exploding sheep.
