Check in with KMB69. He's down south of the city.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Powder coat looks great, that is for sure. It is durable as well. On the other hand, Soichiro never went that far. He painted the frames. Having once paid for PC on a Yamaha frame, I decided to paint my CB 750 project. Glad I did as there were some scratches as a result of engine insertion. They were easily touched up and now are gone. With a tight a fit as there is with the Honda, even PC could be damaged. From this site, I learned that Rust-oleum appliance epoxy is durable and matches the stock frame paint quite well.

What method of engine install did you use? I PC'd my current project frame and had no scratching issues.  Used the lay frame on its side onto engine method....

Thanks. Apparently, this place has done many vintage bikes. Precision Powder (http://www.precisionpowder.net/index.html)

I thought of painting it, but it won't look as good and I believe I can still touch up the frame if I nick it, etc. during rebuild. I am going to ride the bike so expect it will have some wear pretty quickly anyway.
