To us Europeans, your obsession with guns seems odd. I know all the calculative arguments that have passed and will pass over and over in all the debates over the decades, but it always leaves me puzzled that so few seem able to make the final calculation that really counts: what if I, owner of a gun, become mental? Science tells us we all can become mental and the news provides plenty evidence for it. So that leaves little doubt what, when put in a mathematical equation (borrowed from the game theory), would be the optimal outcome for all. Now I'm glad that I live in a society where violence is the prerogative of the state and statistics prove over-whel-ming-ly we've calculated rightly. Or is it that when your toys are taken away, it's not much fun being an American anymore? Anyway, it always shocks me that so many of you openly talk and praise guns but... maybe that's what you guys think of us and sex.
