Number one on the list, without a shadow of a doubt, is Gunson's Colortune. The idea (simplicity) had appealed to me, in practice it was useless for our type of bikes.

By what I know now, my set of vacuum gauges is second on the list. I bought it together with a friend to share the cost. I've learned from it and now I must second what you read in some manuals: as you seldomly need to perform a sync, it's not worth the expense. Besides, I have managed to benchsync (my way) my carbs so that when tested afterwards, they were within 2 cm Hg of eachother which is well within factory specs.

i like mine vaccum gauges..but..using them once pr 3-5 year..im glaad i bayed the thepest set i faund.
.vho had adjustabel neddels..so i can adjust them to the same reading..they vorks as fine as a 1000 dollar set
..if you have adjusted it bu adjust to the same height on the lifters..there is just a minor adjust..to get the last aut. of it.
.it gives a better resultat to do the vaccum adjust(but only if you can do it perfekt..)...if you not do it absolut perfekt. dont start on it..
i kan not speak english/but trying!!

To us Europeans, your obsession with guns seems odd. I know all the calculative arguments that have passed and will pass over and over in all the debates over the decades, but it always leaves me puzzled that so few seem able to make the final calculation that really counts: what if I, owner of a gun, become mental? Science tells us we all can become mental and the news provides plenty evidence for it. So that leaves little doubt what, when put in a mathematical equation (borrowed from the game theory), would be the optimal outcome for all. Now I'm glad that I live in a society where violence is the prerogative of the state and statistics prove over-whel-ming-ly we've calculated rightly. Or is it that when your toys are taken away, it's not much fun being an American anymore? Anyway, it always shocks me that so many of you openly talk and praise guns but... maybe that's what you guys think of us and sex.

But anyhoo, in the last 18 months I bought a Harley Sportster, BMW R1100GS, Honda CB750 K0, K1 and K2, VFR750, VTR1000 (x 2.5) and Yamaha FJR1300.

I came back to my senses when I had to store 6 of my 14 bikes at a storage facility charging $275 per month, so I've sold the K1 and K2, and I traded one VTR1000 this week on a car that I don't really need either, but will use to update the family fleet.

In the next few months I want to "move on" another 5 or 6 bikes, and I'll try to avoid more "Impulse Buying".......... ;D

Whats the point?  I had  guns before I moved to USA, sold them to a friend, it was easier than bringing them over.  I know quite few people over in Czech Republic who shoot or hunt, not a big deal it is just a tool, nothing else.

Is a gun thread equivalent to an oil thread? However, I did buy a shotgun in a moment of weakness......................pissed the missus off beyond belief(wrong thread sorry).

Maybe not weakness, but boredom? I want to have more oiling cans with cutting oils and other machine oils all dedicated and labeled around my shop. I was planning on getting new ones because I thought they'd be cheap but I found a lot of the old Eagle, Craftsman and Plume oilers for like $5 a piece. I kept making offers on eBay and went to sleep then woke up to find they all accepted. I'm going to be getting like 10 packages to a total of about 25 oilers...what the hell am I going to do with these things?

One for mineral oil, one for ATF, one for heavy oil, one for light oil - hmm, you are right, what the hell are you going to do with all those oilers?  ;D ;D
