Forgive me.  It wasn't my intention to upset the apple cart.  I don't know why I decided to read the rules.  It's a great looking bike.

I hope the owner didn't join just so the nomination could go ahead, because I know some guys with very nice Honda's who aren't members too, don't let this end in a farce... :o   I was under the impression this bike was commissioned, not originally built for Godfrey, not trying to stir sh1t but I doubt this was ever Godfrey's bike, in a ownership sense.... Rules are rules, and this isn't the first time a bike has had to be withdrawn... ;)

PS, I love the bike.... 8)

Under these circumstances, if Bandit1298 accepts I believe we have a valid nomination.

I hope the owner didn't join just so the nomination could go ahead, not trying to stir sh1t but ....
He certainly had not joined for such a stupid reason!  Hell, he didn't even know about this thread at the time. I told him I had posted the bike on the site and He wanted to be able to reply on some of the threads, he has cruised this site many times, but not being particularly tech savoy, he never officially singed up.
In fact, he is having computer issues right now because he was trying to export photos and clicked on something wrong and locked something up.
Personally I've had enough with hole thing and this will be my last reply.  Admit to it or not, the Apple cart has been tipped and the Sh!t has continued to be stirred.
If he is able (and willing) to respond to this mess, do with it what you will.  I'm done, my time vs value scale has already been exceeded.

Very defensive reply Godfrey considering you made the "mess" to start with, inadvertently or not. I thought you were better than that mate, that bike was never yours, you stated that in the thread you posted the bike in,
Quote
Stevo, For a customer?,   Godfrey,Yes, he has also become a good friend threw the 6 year build process.  His cash flow was more of a trickle, so we just had to pace ourselves.
there's no need for you to get pissed off at others for pointing it out , I said my comment wasn't meant to stir sh1t, just pointing out what YOU previously revealed to the forum. Anyway, I still think it looks suspicious, or maybe convenient,  and the PM's I've received about the subject reinforce that {which I didn't expect at all  :o} ...
I have come close to voting in every BOTM since I joined this forum {nearly 10 years}, if it continues like this i'd like to be removed from this thread if at all possible. I like seeing owners that have put all their money, time, sweat and  tears into their OWN bikes, get the rewards they deserve, I'm of the mind that this thread was set up that way originally,  whilst I respect "builders" bikes,... If you guys want a "biker build off" got start another voting thread. Thats my last word on this ... I'll certainly lose no sleep over it....

I  joined before the sh*!?t hit the fan, but who's going to believe that now?
I actually had a hand in this build also (on a much smaller scale than Godffery)
I made the headlight ears, rearset brackets, and rear brakestay rod along with many small spacers, etc.
Also did lots of cosmetic work such as polishing on small parts, cut-outs on front sprocket cover, points and
stator covers, wheel hub lathe, paint and polish work . Also chose finish colors and planned paint scheme.
While I really appreciate the kudos given to OUR work I am dismayed by the turn this whole thing took.
I will accept the nomination because We and the bike have earned some sort of recognition tho' this battle
definitely isn't what I  envisioned when A.O. was posted. Kind of has a recent election feel to it...

Okay everyone.  I have noted the objections and weighed in.

The issue of ownership appears to no longer be an issue.  Bandit1298 is the owner.

Unless there is another issue to consider, nominations still remain open if you believe there are any additional, qualified bikes you would like recognized.

PS the attachment is for fun only.

that was super easy to confirm...bandit 1298 joined roughly 4 or 5 hours before budlite's post
If it works good, it looks good...

He also joined just hours before Godffery made this quote:
Technically, The Bike is still mine till he makes the final payment on the balance.   ;)

So are we to gather that sometime between then and now he's made his final payment and the bike is indeed his?

Let's just drop it. It's been duly nominated and seconded. He needs only accept.

Indeed!

And he did accept:

I will accept the nomination because We and the bike have earned some sort of recognition tho' this battle

Nice bikes fellas, but what a racket. Good luck to both Bandit and Steve-o prior to all the ballots being cast.

You gather correctly...  End of story.
