CB Suser Sport?
« on: February 02, 2017, 04:15:01 PM »
Hello all, I'm new to this forum, I need help understanding what bike it is that I'm about to pick up off craigslist. I think it's a cb 750 super sport but not sure, looks to be complete. Is there anything that gives away that it is a super sport? Anything that I should look out for? Any pointers would help! Thanks.

75/76 Super Sport - rear disc brake
77/78 Super Sport - dual disc brakes up front with Comstar wheels and rear disc brake

Those are the easiest things to ID. Of course the VIN number too.

As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Heck yeah based on the vin, and the options, it's a 1976 CB750F super sport. Not too bad, I picked it up for $100.

The guy told me he was going to sell the gas tank and scrap the whole bike, crazy people. It's a complete bike, except it's missing the side covers.

Also it has a cool little exhaust on it, besides the stock 4-1 pipe, it's got this short stubby muffler and it looks aftermarket, but has honda's logo stamped on it. I looked up pics on Google and can't find anything that looks like what I have.

The SS tank can be valuable, the cafe guys like them.

Curious about that Honda exhaust....

Someone painted the tank and rear cowl black, they're red underneath.
