I rarely ever see project CB on craigslist anymore, and my area used to be plentiful.  What gives?

Yeah, seatac cl is sorely lacking the cb supply.
This one dude has been parting his bike out for months.  Looks like he sold almost everything but he keeps reposting the same pics.

There are sure a lot of super sports in the northeast.  Someone please take those handlebars off that poor bike.

What is the matter Don don't you like those ginormous bull horn bars?  You could flip them upside down and call it a cafe. ha,ha,ha

Found a couple CB350s for $500 a piece in my area.  Wish I had some extra cash to pick one or both up.  They are great for someone who wants a bike to ride or a flip.

They are still out there.

I think the demand for these bikes has gone WAY down, so less people are listing them.
MANY people were playing the flip game and listing tons of bikes and since there is no more money in it they stopped listing.

Apparently, GV has a buddy with a honey pot/treasure trove of vintage bikes -- likely includes some CBs.

That makes sense.  Maybe lots of the cheap ones were exported too.

People are going for other bikes now - the more modern ones.

I see a lot of mid-80's and later 80's bikes.
Still don't understand people who take perfectly good motorcycles and "Café" them.  why the heck would you 'cafe' a Sabre for Christ's sake?  I've seen them.

I've considered threatening the wrecked gsxr's owner with a "cafe conversion" if he doesn't start buying parts soon!

It looks utterly ridiculous with a cb550 seat on it 😝  -  do you think all-balls has a seat of steering bearings to mate the cb forks to the gsxr?

I don't do anything so special that no one else could do it too.

Plenty of places online that are not CL to search, interesting ways to search said websites too.

At the end of the day nothing real gets done on the internet, so find local riders, clubs, groups etc.
Talk to real people.

I hear you.

I have a whole stable of Hondas - I would love to start looking at some Kawis.  Or maybe a Yamaha - one of the few bikes I've never owned.

What stops me is lack of proper storage space.
